DSP Rakhmeen Khan had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital


Peshawar: A police officer, who was injured in a terrorist attack in South Waziristan a couple of days ago, succumbed to his injuries at a prive hospital on Saturday.
According to police, DSP Rakhmeen Khan was wounded during a terrorist attack in South Waziristan on July 3 and had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Police confirmed that DSP Rakhmeen Khan passed away in the hospital due to the severity of his injuries. His funeral prayer was held at Police Lines, attended by KP Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed and CCPO Peshawar Qasim Khan.
On the occasion, KP IG Zulfiqar Hameed stated, "Cowardly acts of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve of our police force. We are proud of our officers and personnel. Their sacrifices will not go in vain."
