WhatsApp introduces new feature to show how many people are typing in group chats
This feature is particularly useful for users who receive frequent messages in group chats

(Web Desk): Instant messaging application WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to see how many people are typing simultaneously in group chats.
According to a technology website, WhatsApp has rolled out this feature to make group conversations more transparent and informative. Previously, only the name of a single person typing in a group chat would be displayed. Now, if multiple users are typing at the same time, WhatsApp will show a notification indicating the number of people typing—for example, “2 people are typing.”
This feature is particularly useful for users who receive frequent messages in group chats, helping them decide whether to respond immediately or wait.
Currently, this feature only works with text messages. If someone is recording a voice note in the group, the traditional method will apply, and only that person’s name will be shown, as before.
WhatsApp’s new feature is currently available in the Android beta version 2.25.20.17. The company has stated that it will roll out the feature to all users in the coming weeks.
