From June 20 to July 15, a total of 106 people have lost their lives due to the rains

(Web Desk): According to Indian media reports, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) stated that the monsoon rains in Himachal Pradesh have been ongoing since June 20, resulting in widespread flooding.
As per the SDMA, from June 20 to July 15, a total of 106 people have lost their lives due to the rains. Out of these, 62 deaths occurred due to landslides, floods, cloudbursts, drowning, and electrocution, while another 44 people died in road accidents during the same period.
In addition to the loss of human lives, the administration has also reported widespread damage to property and infrastructure. According to the report, more than 293 permanent houses and 91 mud houses have been completely destroyed.
Furthermore, around 850 acres of agricultural land have been affected, and government infrastructure worth over ₹810 million has been damaged. This includes roads, water supply structures, electricity infrastructure, and buildings related to health and education.
Disaster management authorities have urged the public in various regions to remain alert and follow safety guidelines due to the forecast of further rainfall.
