Islamabad: The Pakistan team delivered another sensational performance in the 2nd Asian U16 Men’s Volleyball Championship, overpowering Iran in a hard-fought 3-1 victory.
The match, held in Thailand, proved to be one of the most exciting contests of the tournament so far as Pakistan team beat Iran by 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 31-29, said a press release.
The match’s climax came in the fourth set, which turned into a fierce battle of nerves and skills. Both teams played point-for-point in an intense exchange, but Pakistan emerged victorious with an epic 31-29 finish securing the win and stamping their authority in Asian youth volleyball.
The key performers included Irfan, Wahab, Abdullah and Saran.
This victory not only sends Pakistan into the semifinals, but also reinforces their place among Asia’s elite youth volleyball teams. The team’s teamwork, composure, and fighting spirit have been commendable throughout the tournament.
Pakistan will now face their traditional rivals India in the semifinal on Friday.
