One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s


Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71.
TMZ reported that medics were called to his home in Clearwater, Florida early Thursday morning over a “cardiac arrest”.
The WWE shared on X that it was “saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away”.

One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.
WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.
“One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s,” it said.
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, was one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all time. He rose to prominence in the 1980s in the WWF, which is now WWE.
