Rescue operations are currently ongoing at the site


(Web Desk): Four children were killed after being trapped under the rubble when a school building collapsed in the Indian state of Rajasthan, according to Indian media reports.
The incident occurred on Friday morning in the Manohar Thana area of Jhalawar district. The roof of a Government Higher Primary School in the village of Piplodi suddenly collapsed, burying four children under the debris.
Reports state that around 40 students were present in the school at the time of the incident, 17 of whom were injured and were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The collapse happened while students were inside their classrooms. Rescue operations are currently ongoing at the site.
Indian media further reported that the school building was in a dilapidated condition, and several complaints had previously been filed regarding its state. The school provides education up to 8th grade.
District administration officials, including the Deputy Commissioner and rescue teams, are present at the site. Upon receiving news of the incident, the parents and relatives of the children rushed to the location.
