Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman confirms crescent for Safar was not sighted on Friday

Lahore: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon for the Islamic month of Safar was not sighted. As a result, the first day of Safar 1447 AH will be observed on Sunday, July 27.
Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, confirmed that the crescent for Safar was not sighted on Friday. Therefore, Saturday will mark the 30th day of Muharram.
An official notification regarding the moon sighting has also been issued following the chairman’s announcement.
