AJK polls 2021: Unofficial results begin pouring in; PTI 'taking lead'
Muzaffarabad: The vote count is in progress in all 45 constituencies of Azad and Jammu Kashmir after polling concluded at 5pm on Sunday.
The counting is being held in AJK and different parts of Pakistan amid tight security for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.
AJK has a total of 3.2 million voters, out of which 1.75 million are male and 1.46 million are female.
There are 33 electoral constituencies in the ten districts of AJK, while 12 constituencies are reserved for Pakistan-based Jammu & Kashmir refugees. Polling booths in all the provinces have been set up for the refugees.
Over 2.8 million voters have been registered in 33 AJK constituencies and 0.4 million in 12 Jammu Kashmir refugees based in various parts of Pakistan.
A total of 691 candidates, including 381 belonging to a total of 32 registered political parties and a total of 310 independent candidates, are in the run to win the election for 45 seats.
The elections are being held under the supervision of AJK Judiciary, Pakistan Army and Rangers with the coordination of the local civil law enforcement institutions.
Unofficial Results
1- LA-40 Kashmir Vally I
According to unofficial, preliminary results, PPP's Abdul Ghaffar Lon is taking lead by 2,165 votes followed by PTI Muhamad Saleem Butt with 875 votes and Tanveer Ali Wani of PML-N has secured 103 votes.
2- LA-43 Kashmir Vally IV
As per unofficial results, Javed Butt of PTI has secured 774 votes followed by Naseem Khatoon of PML-N who has bagged 720 votes.
3- LA-42 Kashmir Vally III
PML-N's Asim Sharif remained successful with 1,254 vites, while PML-N's Shaukat Ali Shah secured 1,205 votes.
4- LA-44 Kashmir Vally 5
Hafiz Ahmad Raza Qadri of PML-N recieved 2,007 votes, Meharu Nissa of Muslim Conference bagged 1,163 votes, while Bashir Khan of PTI secured 546 votes. Rashid Islam Butt of PPP managed to get 482 votes.
5- LA-41 Kashmir Vally II
From all 17 polling stations, PTI's Ghulam Mohayyuddin bagged 2,326 votes, while Muhammad Akram Butt remained runner up with 741 votes.
6- LA-34 Jammu I
From Lahore, Riaz Ahmed of PTI bagged 1,283 votes, while Nasir Hussain of PML-N secured 836 votes.
7- LA-14 Bagh I
Former Prime Minister AJK Sardar Attique Khan bagged 29,561 votes, while Major Latif Khaleeq managed to secure 13,429 votes.
8- LA-1 Mirpur I
Azhar Sadiq of PTI has won while securing 14,233 votes against 7,609 votes PML-N candidate Chauhdry Masood Khalid.
9-Gujranwala LA-35 Jammu II
PTI's Maqbool Gujjar secured 18,883 votes to win against 16,885 votes grabbed by Ismael Gujjar of PML-N.
10- LA-36 Jammu III
PTI's Hafiz Hamid Raza has won the seat by securing 22,096 votes, while Muhammad Ishaq of PML-N remained runner-up by bagging 20,467 votes.
11- LA-4 Mirpur IV
Ch Arshad Hussian of PTI with 22,700 votes defeated Ch Rukhsar Ahmad of PML-N who could secure 20,800 votes.
12- LA-5 Bhimber I
Waqar Ahmad Noor of PML-N bagged 21,799 votes against Ch Pervaiz Ashraf of PPP who obtained 15,583 votes.
13- LA-38 Jammu 5
Muhammad Akbar Ch of PTI secured 14,143 votes to defeat Zeeshan Ali of PML-N. Zeeshan bagged 8,740 votes.
14- LA-45 Kashmir Vally VI
Abdul Majid Khan of PTI with securing 3,114 votes defeated independent candidate Abdul Nasir Khan who cwere able to bag 2,000 votes.
15- LA-15 Central Bagh
Sardar Tanveer Illyas of PTI bagged 19,825 votes to defeat PPP's Sardar Ziaul Qamar who managed to obtain only 558 votes.
