Five policemen martyred in dacoits’ attack on Rahim Yar Khan checkpoint

(Web Desk): In Rahim Yar Khan, five police personnel were martyred and two others injured in an attack by dacoits on a police checkpoint.

According to the police, the attack took place at the Sheikhani police checkpoint in Rahim Yar Khan, where dacoits opened fire, resulting in the martyrdom of five policemen and injuries to two others.

A police spokesperson stated that one dacoit was also killed in the exchange of fire.

According to the police, the martyred personnel include Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Khalil, Constable Nakheel, and Ghazanfar Abbas.

The police spokesperson added that two of the martyred officers were from Rahim Yar Khan, while three were from Bahawalnagar.
