‘Such criminals must be made an example by giving them exemplary punishments’


(Web Desk): Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has taken notice of the rape of a deaf and mute girl in Muzaffargarh.
A tragic incident of rape occurred with a deaf and mute girl in Muzaffargarh. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Hina Parvez Butt has requested a report from the DPO of Muzaffargarh regarding the incident.
Hina Parvez Butt stated that the perpetrator who assaulted the disabled girl is not a human but a beast. Such criminals must be made an example by giving them exemplary punishments. The police have registered a case under Section 376 (iii) and arrested the accused within 24 hours.
She added that there will be no compromise on the protection of women. The victim will be provided with legal, medical, and psychological assistance, and a transparent and speedy follow-up of the case will be ensured.
