Accumulation of rain water on roads, at under passes trouble motorists


Lahore: Heavy rain lashed parts of the provincial capital on Saturday, leaving city roads, underpasses and low- laying areas in a pool of water, motorists in trouble.
However, the rain provided some relief to the citizens in extreme humid weather conditions.
According to details, clouds gathered densely and poured down over several areas including Model Town, Johar Town, Kot Lakhpat, and Shadman, resulting in water accumulation in many places, which caused difficulties for residents.
Following the rain, the local administration is busy clearing water from streets and lanes. On the other hand, the rainfall provided a welcome relief for the citizens, who headed to various parks and recreational spots with their families and children.
