Maulana Sanaullah was on his way to Azam Warsak Bazaar when he was ambushed by gunmen who opened fire and fled the scene

(Web Desk): In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lower South Waziristan district, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader Maulana Sanaullah was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Azam Warsak area of Birmal Tehsil.
Maulana Sanaullah was on his way to Azam Warsak Bazaar when he was ambushed by gunmen who opened fire and fled the scene immediately after. He succumbed to gunshot wounds on the spot.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and shifted the body to the hospital. A search operation was launched in the area to apprehend the attackers. A wave of fear and tension spread throughout the region, and JUI-F workers rushed to the hospital upon learning of their leader’s killing.
Officials confirmed that efforts to locate and arrest the fleeing suspects are ongoing.
It is worth noting that in May 2025, another JUI-F leader, Maulana Noorullah, was targeted in a bomb blast near a madrassa in South Waziristan. Fortunately, Maulana Noorullah survived the attack unharmed.
Police reported that the explosion took place near Shehzad Madrassa, close to the Azam Warsak police station, where Maulana Noorullah’s vehicle was apparently the target.
