Isolated rainfall is expected across different parts of the country

Karachi: Deputy Director warms of new rain spell. In a live conversation , Deputy Director of the Meteorological Department Anjum Nazir confirmed that Pakistan’s monsoon season is far from over and is poised to deliver more dramatic weather in the days ahead.
He said isolated rainfall could occur until 14 August, noting that while Islamabad received rain yesterday, there’s also a chance of showers today in Sialkot and surrounding areas.
A crucial period begins on 14 August, when the seventh monsoon spell is expected to unleash new storms across northeastern Punjab specifically Sialkot, Kasur, Narowal, and adjacent regions. Intense rain may trigger flooding in eastern rivers and elevate the risk of urban inundation.
Following this, from 17 to 23 August, the downpour will shift south, affecting much of Sindh with moderate to heavy rain.
Karachi won’t be spared either: after days of rising temperatures over Friday to Sunday, heavy, intermittent rains could begin on the evening or night of 17 August.
