17 missing amid ongoing rescue operations


(Web Desk): Due to heavy rains in Bajaur, floods and landslides have destroyed several houses, while various incidents have resulted in the deaths of 9 people and several others reported missing.
According to rescue officials, in the Jabrai area of Bajaur, floodwaters destroyed numerous homes. In different incidents, 9 people lost their lives, 4 were injured, and 17 people are missing, with search operations currently underway.
Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur, Shahid Ali, and Assistant Commissioner of Khar, Dr. Sadiq Ali, are overseeing the relief efforts in the Jabrai area of Salarzai Tehsil.
Meanwhile, in Azad Kashmir, after a cloudburst caused flooding in rivers and streams, 6 members of the same family lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10 people died in various incidents following heavy rains.
The government of Azad Kashmir has closed educational institutions for two days due to the severe rainfall.
