Foolproof security in place for Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) Chehlum in Karachi
A total of 11,479 police officers and personnel will be deployed throughout the city to deal with any untoward incidents

Karachi: On the occasion of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), extraordinary and foolproof security arrangements have been made across Karachi.
A total of 11,479 police officers and personnel will be deployed throughout the city to deal with any untoward incidents.
According to police sources, 1,113 officers and personnel will be assigned security duties at 642 Imambargahs, while 2,901 personnel will be deployed for the security of 501 Majalis (religious gatherings). Additionally, 7,465 police personnel are being deployed for 108 mourning processions.
All roads connected to the central procession routes will remain completely closed, and exceptional security measures have also been implemented in and around Nishtar Park.
The Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi has instructed all Station House Officers (SHOs) to stay present in their respective areas and to intensify patrolling, snap checking, and picketing. A high alert has been issued for sensitive installations, public places, and important buildings.
Checkpoints at the city's entry and exit points have been further strengthened, and the process of searching and checking has been made more effective. The Bomb Disposal Squad will complete sweeping and clearance operations at processions and key locations.
Instructions have also been issued to make advance intelligence collection and its prompt sharing at the police station level more effective. The Additional IG Karachi emphasized that no negligence in security measures will be tolerated under any circumstances.
