Jackie Bezos, mother of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, passes away at 78

(Web Desk): Jackie Bezos, the mother of Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos, has passed away at the age of 78. She took her last breath on August 14 at her home in Miami. Her death was confirmed by the Bezos Family Foundation.

Jackie Bezos had been battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years — a neurological disease that affects thinking, movement, mood, and behavior. She spent her final moments surrounded by her family, including her husband Mike Bezos, her three children, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Jeff Bezos paid tribute to his mother on Instagram, stating that her life began early, as she became a mother at just 17 years old. Remembering her love and sacrifices, he wrote: “She always made sacrifices for her family and never compromised in raising her children.”

He added, “As always, her circle of love never stopped. She was a remarkable woman who gave her family boundless love throughout her life.”

Jackie Bezos’s passing has brought a wave of sorrow to her family and marks a deeply personal loss for Amazon’s founder.
