Peshawar: The provincial government has decided to extend the service period of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Police.
The extension will be granted only once.
According to the text of the bill, the decision has been made due to the start of the tourism season and delays in new recruitments.
Before the extension is implemented, an amendment bill to the Tourism Act will be presented in the assembly.
Under the amendment, Tourism Police recruitment will be made for a specific period, and the authority may hire its own police force after enhancing its authorized capacity.
