Saliya Saman was among eight individuals charged in September 2023 with violating anti-corruption rules

(Web Desk): The ICC has imposed a five-year ban on former Sri Lankan domestic cricketer Saliya Saman from all formats of cricket.
This decision was handed down by the ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal after he was found guilty of breaching the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Anti-Corruption Code.
Saliya Saman was among eight individuals charged in September 2023 with violating anti-corruption rules. These charges were related to attempts at match-fixing during the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League, which were thwarted by anti-corruption officials from the ICC and ECB.
Following a full hearing — which included both written and oral submissions — the tribunal found Saman guilty and imposed a five-year ban.
