Islamabad: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, has adjourned the hearing on the bail plea of PTI founder till tomorrow.
The bench also comprised Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Shafi Siddiqui.
The court adjourned the hearing due to the illness of Special Prosecutor Zulfikar Naqvi, who suffered from food poisoning and was unable to attend the proceedings. The counsel for the PTI founder requested an adjournment, which was accepted by the court.
During the brief hearing, the Chief Justice rejected a request to allow the PTI founder's sisters to address the court, stating that no family member would be allowed to speak. "We'll see tomorrow," the Chief Justice remarked, adjourning the hearing till tomorrow.
