Administration has directed residents to evacuate

(Web Desk): A flood-like situation has developed due to the rising water levels following India's release of additional water into the River Sutlej. Water levels have increased at both Head Sulemanki and Head Islam as a result.
In Bahawalpur, the Zamindara Bund (embankment) near Dera Bakha broke due to the high water levels, submerging thousands of acres of standing crops. The rising water has also increased pressure on the Empress Bridge.
In Kasur, water has entered villages near Ganda Singh Wala, severely damaging crops. Meanwhile, precautionary measures have been taken in Pakpattan and Arifwala due to the flood situation.
On the other hand, the River Indus is experiencing a high-level flood at the Taunsa point. Over 60 settlements in Taunsa have been submerged, and water has entered the riverine (kacha) areas of Taunsa, Darahma, and Ghazi Ghat. Following this, the administration has directed residents to evacuate.
