Shahrez Khan was taken into custody in connection with cases related to the May 9, 2023 riots

Lahore: An anti-terrorism court has approved 8-day physical remand of Shahrez Khan, nephew of PTI founder Imran Khan and son of his sister Aleema Khan, in the May 9, 2023 Jinnah House attack case.
Lahore Police presented Shahrez Khan in court after arresting him from Zaman Park and requested a one-month physical remand.
Shahrez Khan’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, opposed the remand request, after which the court reserved its decision.
Later, the anti-terrorism court rejected the police’s request for a one-month remand and instead granted 8 days of physical custody.
It is worth mentioning that Aleema Khan had earlier alleged that her son Shahrez had been abducted by four armed individuals.
Subsequently, police confirmed Shahrez Khan’s arrest, stating that he was taken into custody in connection with cases related to the May 9, 2023 riots.
