33 people have been reported injured

Karachi: The death toll from the explosion and subsequent fire at a firecracker manufacturing factory and warehouse on MA Jinnah Road has risen to five, while 33 people have been reported injured. A case has been registered at the Preedy Police Station.
Another body was recovered from the debris of the building affected by the blast. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Shehzad, bringing the total number of fatalities to five so far.
Ten fire brigade vehicles were used to bring the fire under control. The intensity of the blast shattered the windows of nearby buildings and caused severe damage to nearby vehicles.
Police have taken the warehouse owners into the investigation. Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar stated that such warehouses are not permitted in residential areas, and action will be taken against those responsible.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Preedy Police Station regarding the explosion at the fireworks warehouse near MA Jinnah Road.
The FIR has been lodged on behalf of the state and includes charges of manslaughter, possession of explosive and flammable materials, and negligence.
According to the text of the FIR, warehouse owners Hanif and Ayub have been named in the case. Suspect Hanif is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital due to injuries, while one suspect is on the run.
