Under the III Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance, Police have shifted him to jail.


The Punjab Police has taken Islamic Scholar, preacher and YouTube personality Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza into custody from Jehlum on Monday.
According to the details, Engineer Mirza was held under the III Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance. Police have shifted him to jail.
Police said that the action was taken after multiple applications and grievances against him.
He was also arrested by police on May 4, 2020, on charges of spreading hate speech, but was later released after a couple of days.
In 2023, a case was registered against him over the blasphemy charges under section 295C of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza had been a student of mechanical engineering and worked as a government employee. He came into prominence through his YouTube videos. His channel has surpassed the three million subscriber mark.
