ATC sends Imran Khan’s nephew to jail on judicial remand in Jinnah House attack case
Lahore police had arrested Sher Shah outside his residence on August 22

Lahore: The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has sent Sher Shah Khan, nephew of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, to jail on judicial remand in connection with the May 9, 2023 Jinnah House attack case.
Lahore police had arrested Sher Shah, son of Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, outside his residence on August 22. A day earlier, his brother, Shahreyar Khan, was also arrested in the same case and handed over to police on a five-day physical remand.
On Wednesday, upon completion of his five-day remand, police produced Sher Shah before ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gul.
Appearing on Sher Shah’s behalf were Advocate Rana Madser Umar, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, and Barrister Taimoor Malik. Prosecutor Imtiaz Ahmed Supra represented the state, while Aleema Khan attended the hearing with her sisters Uzma Khan and Noreen.
The prosecution sought a 30-day physical remand; however, the defense requested that the accused be discharged from the case. Judge Gul rejected the police’s request and instead remanded Sher Shah to judicial custody.
