(Web Desk): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to divide Swat into two parts — Upper Swat and Lower Swat — and establish a new district.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the Revenue Department has sent a letter to the Commissioner of Malakand and the Deputy Commissioner of Swat.
The letter states that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed the division of Swat into two districts: Upper Swat and Lower Swat. The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner have been instructed to submit a report within three days.
According to the letter, a new district named Upper Swat will be established, while the existing area will be called Lower Swat.
