Ducky Bhai approaches Sessions Court against repeated remands
Court issued notice to NCCIA and sought response from agency on Monday

Lahore: Renowned YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, has approached the Sessions Court against the repeated extension of his physical remand by the Lahore Judicial Magistrate.
The Judicial Magistrate had extended Ducky Bhai’s four-day remand for the third time on August 28.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had also requested, for the third time, to extend the YouTuber’s physical remand.
The NCCIA is currently investigating allegations of promoting illegal online gambling applications against him.
On Saturday, August 30, his lawyer, Chaudhry Usman Ali, filed a petition in the Lahore Sessions Court, which the court accepted for hearing.
The court issued a notice to the NCCIA and sought a response from the agency on Monday.
According to Ducky Bhai’s plea, the judicial magistrate did not properly examine the facts before granting the physical remand application. He has requested that the physical remand be declared null and void.
The YouTuber has been in the custody of the NCCIA since his arrest on August 17, and on August 28, the Lahore Judicial Magistrate approved the extension of his physical remand for the third time till September 1.
He was arrested at Lahore airport, and a case was registered against him by the state through the NCCIA Lahore.
On the other hand, Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, has been granted an extension of her pre-arrest bail till September 15 in the same case.
The Sessions Court has restrained the NCCIA from arresting him and has sought a detailed investigation report at the next hearing.
Aroob Jatoi had approached the court after the agency’s investigation notice, as she feared arrest.
In her appeal, she had said that she was ready to cooperate with the agency and appear for questioning.
She had applied for bail for the second time. Her first application was also approved on August 21, after which she appeared before the agency for questioning.
