Gujranwala: According to sources in the Punjab government, India has released another major floodwave.
Sources report that India has opened all the gates of the Salal Dam, resulting in a floodwave of 800,000 cusecs of water heading toward Pakistan.
Punjab government sources stated that this massive floodwave is expected to reach Head Marala in two days.
Meanwhile, the district administration has confirmed receiving information about the incoming floodwave. Announcements are being made in the areas adjacent to the Chenab River to alert residents.
The administration also mentioned that preparations have been initiated to deal with the potential flooding.
