(Web Desk): A passenger train in Egypt met with an accident, resulting in the deaths of three people.
According to foreign media reports, the incident occurred in western Egypt, where a train full of passengers was traveling from the Matrouh province to Cairo when the accident took place.
Railway officials stated that seven carriages of the train derailed, two of which overturned.
Upon receiving the report, ambulances and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene and began rescue operations, transferring the injured to nearby hospitals.
Authorities further confirmed that the accident resulted in three fatalities and 94 injuries. The injured are currently receiving medical treatment.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the derailment.
