8,206 houses have been destroyed so far due to rains and floods, while 6,180 livestock animals have died as a result of the rains

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released data on the human and financial losses caused by rains and floods across the country.
According to the NDMA, so far, 881 people have lost their lives and 1,176 have been injured due to rains and floods nationwide. Of these, 223 people died and 648 were injured in Punjab.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 48 people lost their lives and 359 were injured due to rains. In Sindh, 58 people died and 78 were injured, while in Balochistan, 26 people have died and 5 have been injured so far due to rains.
According to the report, in Gilgit-Baltistan, 41 people lost their lives and 52 were injured, while in Azad Kashmir, 37 deaths and 31 injuries were reported. In Islamabad, 8 people lost their lives and 3 were injured in rain-related incidents.
The NDMA stated that among the deceased, 510 were men, 134 women, and 237 children, while among the injured, 565 were men, 289 women, and 322 children.
The report further stated that 8,206 houses have been destroyed so far due to rains and floods, while 6,180 livestock animals have died as a result of the rains.
