Price of 24-karat gold per tola remains unchanged at its record high of Rs370,700

Karachi: Gold and silver prices in both the international and local markets remained unchanged at their highest levels on Tuesday.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce remained steady at $3,480.
In local bullion markets as well, the price of 24-karat gold per tola remained unchanged at its record high of Rs370,700, while the price of 10 grams of gold also stayed stable at Rs317,815.
Similarly, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs4,303, and 10 grams of silver held steady at Rs3,689.
According to jewelers, the continued record-high prices of gold have pushed gold jewelry out of reach for the middle class. As a result, many are now turning to silver as an alternative and prefer to purchase silver jewelry for weddings and other occasions.
Jewelers further noted that the increased demand for silver in local markets has led to a significant rise in its prices.
