Despite witnessing the violence, the party leadership did not intervene to stop the workers

Rawalpindi: During a media talk by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, PTI workers assaulted journalists, prompting a media boycott of the event.
Journalist Tayyab Baloch was physically assaulted and forcibly removed from the media talk. Despite witnessing the violence, the party leadership did not intervene to stop the workers.
SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar, ASP Zainab Ayyub, and SHO Aizaz Azeem arrived at the scene with police personnel. The affected journalists are filing a complaint at the Adiala police post.
Additional police force has been called in to arrest those involved in the assault, while a large number of PTI workers remain gathered near Adiala.
