Multan: A boat carrying flood victims capsized in the Jalalpur Pirwala tehsil of Multan. There were 19 people on board; 18 people were rescued, while the search for one person is ongoing.
The boat capsized near the Quaid-e-Millat School in Obaro, South. The boat that was involved in the accident was rescuing flood victims from the village of Darabpur.
Another boat carrying flood victims also capsized in the Latimaari area of Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh.
According to rescue officials, there were more than 10 people on board the boat. When another person tried to hang on to the boat, the boat lost its balance and capsized. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and all the people were rescued safely.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old boy drowned in the Satluj River at the Kallar Wali settlement of Bahawalnagar.
