Chahat Fateh Ali Khan announces action against UK eatery for sharing egg attack video
Incident occurred on June 19 outside Pakistani restaurant Paratha Stop Palace in Blackburn as he was leaving after performance

(Web Desk): Renowned comedian and singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has announced legal action against a UK restaurant that shared on social media a video of him being attacked with eggs, three months after the incident took place.
In a video posted on Instagram, Khan explained that the restaurant had uploaded footage showing two individuals pelting him with eggs in June. He stated that when he initially asked the restaurant management about the video, they denied its existence.
According to the singer, the incident occurred on June 19 outside the Pakistani restaurant Paratha Stop Palace in Blackburn, UK, as he was leaving after a performance.
He said that while the restaurant’s security staff were requesting to take photos with him, two masked men suddenly launched the attack.
“One man threw an egg, while the other struck me on the head with an egg and also hit me with his hand,” Khan recalled, adding that the incident left him unwell for four days.
He further stated that when he contacted the restaurant four days later and asked for the CCTV footage, he was told there were no cameras outside. However, three months later, the restaurant shared the video on its Instagram account.

Khan said this exposed the restaurant’s dishonesty, since the footage was eventually released from their own account. He argued that this gave him clear evidence to pursue legal action, claiming the incident was carried out in collusion with the restaurant, and vowed to have the establishment shut down through the courts.
He also revealed that after the incident he received threatening phone calls from unknown numbers. Callers would pretend to inquire about his well-being but mockingly asked whether “Badu Badi” (his popular song persona) had been badly injured. Khan said he had recorded all the numbers and would present them as evidence to the authorities.
On the previous day, Paratha Stop Palace had shared the video on Instagram, in which two masked men can clearly be seen approaching Khan, throwing eggs at him, striking his head, and then fleeing the scene. The restaurant’s caption requested the public’s help in identifying the attackers.
