The electric bus service will be inaugurated on September 15 in Mianwali. Punjab’s Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan stated that the people of Mianwali will soon receive the gift of modern electric buses. After Lahore, electric buses will now operate in all districts of Punjab.
The minister said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has fulfilled yet another promise of providing state-of-the-art transport. Following Mianwali, the service will be launched in Wazirabad and then gradually in all other districts. Electric buses are currently being delivered to the relevant areas.
Bilal Akbar Khan added that the project, which started with 27 electric buses in Lahore, will prove successful everywhere. With a fleet of 1,100 electric buses, millions of people will benefit from modern, affordable, and high-quality transport facilities.
