Resolution was submitted by opposition member Farrukh Javed

(Web Desk): A resolution has been submitted in the Punjab Assembly calling for a ban on TikTok.
According to sources, the resolution was submitted by opposition member Farrukh Javed.
The text of the resolution states that the “TikTok mafia” in Pakistan is promoting vulgarity and obscenity through live chat features. The application is allegedly leading the younger generation, especially children, toward immoral behavior.
It further claims that young boys and girls engage in obscene conversations and encourage each other to perform inappropriate acts through the platform.
The resolution demands that the Provincial Assembly urge the federal government to immediately ban TikTok and its live chat feature to protect the youth from moral decay.
It adds that such behavior is unacceptable in an Islamic society and that the younger generation is being lured toward TikTok in pursuit of cheap fame and money.
The resolution also appeals for TikTok to be permanently banned in Pakistan.
