Batting first, Bangladesh scored 154 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Tanzid Hasan was the top scorer with 52 runs, followed by Saif Hasan with 30, and Towhid who added 26 runs.
For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad took 2 wickets each.
Chasing a target of 155, Afghanistan were bowled out for 146 runs in 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 35, Azmatullah made 30, and Rashid Khan contributed 20 runs.
From the Bangladesh bowling attack, Mustafizur Rahman took 3 wickets, while Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, and Rishad claimed 2 wickets each.
