Team will play a series of two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20 matches during Pakistan tour

South Africa has announced the squads for all three formats for the tour of Pakistan.
The South African team will play a series of two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20 matches in the tour of Pakistan.
According to Cricket South Africa, Test captain Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the series due to a strain in his shin, so now Aiden Markram will lead the team in his place. In addition, Keshav Maharaj is part of the squad only for the second Test against Pakistan as his rehab is yet to be completed.
The South African team will be led by David Miller in T20 matches, and Matthew Bratz has been assigned the responsibilities of interim captain in ODIs.
The South African Men’s selection panel has named the squads for the upcoming all-format tour of Pakistan as well as the one-off T20 International (T20I) against Namibia.

On the other hand, Quinton de Kock, who said goodbye to ODI cricket, has withdrawn his retirement and has now been included in the T20 and ODI squads.
It is pertinent to note that Quinton de Kock retired from ODIs after the 2023 World Cup. Later, he expressed his desire to play in both white-ball formats. He returned to the team after the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Pakistan is playing its first series against South Africa in the World Test Championship, and the first Test of the series is scheduled to be played in Lahore from October 12, while the second Test is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi from October 20.
After the Test series against South Africa, there will also be a series of three T20 matches, the first will be played in Rawalpindi on October 28, and the other two will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on October 31 and November 1.
After the T20 International matches, three ODI matches will be played on November 4, 6, and 8 in Faisalabad.
