Promoting trade, along with investment, is part of our policy


London: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed federal ministers to work on viable projects to promote investment and trade in all important sectors.
An important meeting of various ministries was chaired by the Prime Minister to increase the volume of investment, economic, and trade activities in Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said that agriculture, IT, minerals, tourism, and renewable energy are important sectors in which investment can come from foreign countries. Promoting trade, along with investment, is part of our policy, so that exports can increase significantly.
He stated that targets have been given to the ministries and all resources have been directed to complete all ongoing projects on time. Immediate steps should be taken to identify viable projects and implement them.
The Prime Minister added that for this purpose, a roadmap and a change agenda should be made, keeping in mind the future, so that we can move forward in an organized manner to achieve our goals.
The Prime Minister said that the private sector will have a key role in the roadmap of economic activities, and its participation will be ensured. Our ongoing policy of economic and financial reforms has given a new direction to the economy, and thanks to this innovation and transparency, the country is on the path of development.
The meeting, held on Zoom from London, was attended by Federal Ministers Mosaddiq Malik, Ali Pervez Malik, Muhammad Jahanzeb, Jam Kamal, Attaullah Tarar, and Ahad Khan Cheema.
