Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Imaan Mazari, husband in controversial tweet case
Lawyer couple allegedly used social media posts to incite ethnic division

Islamabad: A local court in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for lawyer Imaan Mazari and her husband, Advocate Hadi Ali Chatha, in a case concerning controversial tweets against the state and national security institutions.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka issued the warrants, directing authorities to arrest the couple and present them before the court on September 24.
Following the order, lawyers representing Mazari and Chatha filed an application seeking cancellation of the warrants, but the court rejected the plea and adjourned proceedings until September 24.
Earlier, the court had issued a summons for both accused. The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) under sections 9, 10, 11, and 26 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
According to the FIR, Mazari and Chatha allegedly used social media posts to incite ethnic division and held security forces responsible for the issue of missing persons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
