NAB has fully digitized this process, enabling direct transfer of funds into the victims’ bank accounts

Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken a significant step towards digitalization by deciding to transfer recovered funds to fraud victims through online means.
With digital payments, victims will no longer need to visit NAB offices repeatedly. Addressing the difficulties faced by victims of financial fraud in receiving their funds, NAB Chairman Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed has decided to transfer the recovered amounts directly to the victims online.
In this regard, a special ceremony was held at the NAB headquarters on Wednesday, presided over by Chairman NAB, Lieutenant General (R) Nazir Ahmed. During the event, recovered funds were initially transferred online directly to the victims of the B4U fraud.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chairman, Director Generals, management of the National Bank of Pakistan, and other senior NAB officials.
The Chairman personally initiated the online transfer of funds into the victims’ bank accounts, marking a significant development.
Previously, NAB used to pay victims through pay orders, serving only a limited number of individuals at a time. This process was time-consuming and required victims to visit NAB offices to collect their money. Now, NAB has fully digitized this process, enabling direct transfer of funds into the victims’ bank accounts—eliminating the traditional and time-consuming procedures.
