Crops, including rice, cotton, banana, and papaya on hundreds of acres, were severely affected

The water inflow at Kotri Barrage on the Indus River continues to increase, with a 12,000 cusecs rise in 24 hours, bringing the water flow to 420,000 cusecs.
According to the Flood Forecasting Division in Lahore, moderate flooding continues at Kotri Barrage, while Mangla Dam is close to being filled, and the rest of the rivers have returned to normal levels.
Several more villages of Kachha in Thatta were submerged due to the flood situation at Kotri Barrage; as a result, many crops, including rice, cotton, banana, and papaya on hundreds of acres, were severely affected.
Due to the flood situation, residents are being shifted to protective embankments and safer places. Water pressure has started increasing in the villages of Anarpur, Union Council Shah Owais, and Kachha in Jamshoro. There is a flood situation at the Nawab Shah Skrand Mid Mangla protective embankment, due to which the villages were submerged in water.
In Sujawal district, the flood situation continues on the protective embankments of the Indus River. The flow of water on the protective embankments has increased, and the district administration has set up tent settlements.
On the other hand, the floodwater has not receded in Jalalpur Pirwala, affected by the Chenab and Sutlej rivers, and dozens of settlements are still underwater. Flood victims are waiting for the water to recede on Uch Sharif Road to return home.
The repair work of the crack in the Nooraja Bhatta Dam is ongoing, and the M5 Motorway from Multan to Jhangra Interchange is still closed for the 14th day.
The repair work of the flood-affected Sui Gas Pipeline is also ongoing. A large area of Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur was affected, after which a damage survey was started.
