New York: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, in which he raised the issue of Kashmir, India’s violation of the Indus Waters Treaty, and Pakistan’s sponsorship of terrorism.
In this meeting, which took place after addressing the General Assembly session in New York, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed important national and regional issues.
The Prime Minister stressed that a just and peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue should be found in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council.
The Prime Minister praised the Secretary General’s role in ending the tension in the recent Pakistan-India war and promoting peace and stability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly supported an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and called for opening the way for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the central role of the United Nations in strengthening multilateralism and addressing the challenges facing the world.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the appreciation of the Pakistani government’s role in dealing with the recent floods and stressed that additional financing be provided for countries like Pakistan facing environmental challenges.
