Depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers

Kalat: Earthquake tremors have been felt in the city of Kalat in Balochistan, causing panic and fear.
According to the Seismological Center, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 2.8 near the epicenter of Kalat, and the depth was 10 kilometers.
According to experts, the Earth's crust is made up of three large plates. The first layer is called Eurasian, the second is Indian, and the third is Arabian.
When underground heat accumulates, these plates slide. The earth shakes, and this condition is called an earthquake. Earthquake waves spread in all directions in a circle.
An earthquake occurs due to a sudden release of energy from the Earth's crust. This energy often appears on the surface of the Earth in the form of volcanic lava. Most earthquakes occur in fault zones, where tectonic plates collide or rub against each other.
The effects of the plates rubbing or colliding are usually not felt on the surface of the Earth, but as a result, severe tension is created between these plates. When this tension is released rapidly, severe tremors are created, which are called seismic waves.
Experts say that areas where a major earthquake has occurred once can experience another major earthquake.
