‘Kabul airport is nearly deserted, with no signs of arriving or departing flights’

Kabul: Afghanistan's Taliban government has shut down internet services across the country, leading to the complete closure of Kabul’s main airport.
The internet blackout has severely disrupted both domestic and international communications, as well as essential services including banking and online education.
A local resident reported that the Kabul airport is nearly deserted, with no signs of arriving or departing flights.
According to flight tracking service Flightradar24, several incoming and outgoing flights to and from Kabul were cancelled on Tuesday, while the status of many others was listed as “unknown.”
A passenger intending to land at Kabul International Airport was informed that no flights would operate before Thursday. Another local individual stated that all flights have been cancelled since Monday evening.
The Taliban has not provided any official reason for the internet shutdown. However, it has been confirmed that the restriction took effect on Monday and will remain in place until further notice.
