Amount will be allocated to the victims according to the nature of damage


Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to issue flood relief ATM cards for flood victims.
Director General (DG) of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Irfan Ali Kathia says that new debit cards will be provided after a survey in the flood-affected areas. The amount will be allocated to the victims according to the nature of the damage.
A few days ago, the PDMA issued details of the flood damage. The survey will be completed in a month, while a procedure for assisting the victims has also been formulated.
According to the report, 3,775 villages in 27 districts of Punjab were damaged by the flood, 428 in Narowal, 377 in Siakot, and 322 in Jhang.
Bank of Punjab centers will be set up on the spot to distribute money to the affected people. Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will inform about the damage data through mobile. Punjab Land Record Authority, and NADRA will verify the damage.
