Quetta: Tremors were felt in Quetta city and its surrounding areas.
Following the earthquake, residents began reciting the Kalma Tayyiba (Islamic declaration of faith), and in some areas, people rushed out of buildings and homes in fear.
According to the Seismological Center, the tremors were felt at 6:29 PM in Quetta and nearby areas, recording a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale.
The center reported that the depth of the earthquake was 25 kilometers, with the epicenter located 65 kilometers west of Quetta.
Officials from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated that no damage has been reported so far, but they are in contact with the district administration to monitor the situation.
