First 'super moon' of 2025 to be visible today
Super moon can also be seen in Pakistan

The first super moon of this year will be visible today.
According to a spokesperson for the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the moon will be about 224,000 miles from Earth during the super moon, which is 6.6 percent larger and 13 percent brighter than a normal full moon.
The super moon can also be seen in Pakistan. It will rise from the east shortly after sunset and set in the west before sunrise.
According to SUPARCO, two more super moons will be visible this year. The brightest super moon of the year is expected on November 5, 2025, while the third super moon of this year will be visible on December 5.
According to astronomers, a super moon appears when the moon is at its closest distance to the Earth while rotating in its orbit, due to which the moon appears significantly larger and brighter than usual, which is why it is called a super moon.
