Seat falls vacant after Ali Amin Gandapur resigns as KP CM


Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session has been convened for 10am on October 13, during which the new Chief Minister will be elected.
A formal notification of the revised schedule has been issued by the Assembly Secretariat, stating that the session had previously been adjourned until 2:00 PM on October 20.
According to the notification, the agenda of the session includes the election of the new Leader of the House.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has confirmed the receipt of Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation. However, he stated that a decision on its approval will be made on Monday after reviewing all legal and constitutional aspects.
In a related development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has begun reaching out to political parties in a bid to secure support for its nominee for Chief Minister. A PTI delegation visited the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) headquarters and met with party leaders, seeking their support for Sohail Afridi.
