UN Women has announced in its statement that Hania Aamir has been officially appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of Pakistan, a significant step forward in the organization’s ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in Pakistan.
The post on Instagram said that in her new role, Hania Aamir will help spread awareness, inspire action, and further strengthen the voices of women and girls across the country through her platform.
According to the post, together we will continue to work towards a future where every woman and girl can express their full potential, free from violence, discrimination, and inequality.
According to the organization, the purpose of Hania’s appointment is to include more youth and expand the scope of programs related to gender equality, women’s economic and social empowerment, and the elimination of gender-based violence.
