NGC bids farewell to former MD Engr Dr Abdul Jabbar Khan

Lahore: The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) bid farewell to Engr. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, former Managing Director of NGC and outgoing General Manager (HVDC), following his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power (Pvt.) Limited (QATPL).

In a farewell meeting, Managing Director Engr. Shahid Nazir and Deputy Managing Director (AD&M) Engr. Rasheed A. Bhutto acknowledged Dr Rana’s contributions across HVDC and other technical domains, noting his role in strengthening operational practices and project execution. They extended best wishes for his continued success in the power sector.

Chief Engineer (HVDC) Engr. Shakeel Ahmed Awan, along with officers and staff, shared their appreciation for Dr Rana’s leadership and collaborative approach. A farewell ceremony was held at his office, where a souvenir was presented as a token of regard.

Dr. Rana also visited the Technical Services Group (TSG) at New Kot Lakhpat, Lahore, where he revisited the mosque constructed during his tenure. He was warmly received by Chief Engineer TSG Engr. Muhammad Arif and team members, who acknowledged his efforts in introducing innovative approaches to technical training and capacity building within the group.

With over 33 years of service in NGC and other power sector organizations, Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan embarks on a new chapter in his professional journey, bringing forward a wealth of experience and institutional insight.
